A technical breakdown of a project delivered for one of my clients

A lead-acquisition site for a new residential development in Milan (Via Erodoto 4, NoLo district, MM1 Gorla): one-bedroom, two-bedroom and duplex apartments for rent, with private gardens and terraces. One single goal: turning traffic into qualified enquiries.

How it’s built

The technical choices behind the site.

  • Static site in pure HTML, CSS and JavaScript: zero CMS, zero dependencies, no plugins to update. Result: instant loading and a much smaller attack surface.
  • Hosting on Cloudflare Pages: global CDN, HTTPS and continuous deploys.
  • Contact form → Cloudflare Worker → Google Sheets: every request lands in real time in the client’s spreadsheet, with no external tools.
  • Honeypot anti-spam and server-side validation, with no intrusive CAPTCHAs.
  • Slideshow hero, tabbed apartment types and a mosaic gallery to showcase the units.
  • Interactive map with the neighbourhood’s points of interest: MM1 Gorla, Parco Villa Finzi, NoLo.
  • Clickable floor plans with a lightbox for every apartment type.
  • GDPR-compliant privacy policy and explicit consent in the form.
  • Premium editorial design (Cormorant serif typography), fully mobile-first.

Acquisition & advertising

A nice site isn’t enough: you need the right traffic.

Around the landing page I built the acquisition infrastructure, with Meta Pixel and conversion events on the form: every request is measured, so ad spend is optimised on what brings real leads.

  • Google Ads Search on high-intent queries (two-bed to rent NoLo, new-build to rent Milan), geo-targeted to the area.
  • Performance Max to capture demand across the whole Google network: Search, Maps, YouTube and Display.
  • Meta Ads Advantage+ geo-targeted to Milan, with creatives that highlight private gardens, terraces and finishes.
  • Retargeting of visitors who haven’t left their details yet.
  • All leads in one place, with source tracking to see which campaigns bring real requests.
